review

                                        A review on the film'To Sir With Love'


             Mr.Thakkery was expert in the field of  Engineering. When he failed to get a job in that field he joined in a school as a teacter. At the beginning  of the story the students were naughty but he tamed them and made them love and respect each other.
             He has a noble way in his dealings and his speach. He saw everything and heard each word which the students did against him.But he was patient enough and more. Only once he couldn't control himself. he did not give much importance to curricular subjects but he taught them different topics like marriage,cooking etc.to survive without depending and disturbing others
             The teacher,whom he introduced as a lamb,made the violent pupils as a lamb. He taught them healthy habits and good manners. Receiving his advice they began to dress neatly. As agood teacher he had built agood relationship with teachers,vendors students and their parents.He act as a counsellor when a student's mother wanted them to do.When he got the incharge of sports he could prove the ability he has.
             He could steel the heart of the boy who resisted him towards the end of the story.He was ready to dance with a child and it made the students happy.At end he torn his appointment as an Engineering which he had received as a luck. It was because of his love for the children and the love children showed them.

review

            A review on the film '  Not One  Less'

           The film which I saw  the last day was very impressive.It is the story of 13 years old child teacher.It depicts how she manage to teach without lessening one.though she was ignorant in teaching with the help of the children she gives necessary lessons for the whole class.When aboy child loses she with her whole heart and body to get him back.
            She started her responsibility just as achild but she was very dedicated and sincere towards the responsibility which came came to her shoulder.She came only for the wage not because of her profession She could do nothing more than copying the lesson.Though she was child teacher she had to protect the children day and night alike.
Teacher Wei tried her best to keep the word of Teacher Gao -'Not One Less'.She taught them Mathematics also related to the brick and T.A problem.
           When Teacher Wei started her efforts tofind out the boy then onwards the children became calm and begin to cooperate with her.She never becomes dis appointed whatever happens on her way.She cries not out of her wage but out of her love and responsibility.She came only for the wage but she gave everything what she has,for getting the lost child back.
           As Teacher Wei comes back with the lost child,many of the important people repute for dedication.But she never exhibit herself  if she has done a great thing.When the boy was brought by her,he,whoopposedto call her 'teacher' called her with whole heart 'TEACHER WEI'

HOW BIG IS THE GAP AND HOW TO NARROW IT?AN INVESTIGATION INTO THE ACTIVE AND PASSIVE VOCABULARY KNOWLEDGE OF L2  LEARNERS
           It is generally believed that L2 learners know more words of the target language than they can actually use them.The aim of this study is to find out more about this gap and the ways to narrow it.Vocabulary has generally been classified in to passive and vocabulary.Active and passive vocabulary are 'qualitatively different'inthat passive vocabulary'can only be assed if appropriate external simulation is available'whereas active vocabulary'does not require any external simulas,but can be activated by other words'.As for L2 learners,ithas been estimated that their passive vocabulary is double or more the size of their active vocabulary.In a recent study,Laufer suggests that the gap between active and passive vocabulary increases with progress in learning.
STRATEGIES TO NARROW THE THE GAP
         First,there seems to be no consistent relationship between language proficiency and the two types of vocabulary knowledge.while findings have indicated that students who are more proficient inthe L2have larger passive vocabulary,evidence perplexing regarding their ability to recall more of the words they can recognize.Regarding the gap between active and passive vocabulary knowledge,evidence seems to indicate that the size ofthe gap may not be related to the L2proficiency of the students.The point is that it can be predicted that this gap will be more varied with regard to individual students.To narrow the the gap ,it important for the students to take the initiative to acquire vocabulary both inside and outside school
        The conscious way learning such as,such as grouping words together to commit them to tomemory and repeatedly saying the words are effective.Moreover,results of the researchs show that students do not often use these stategies alothough they consider them useful.The focus on the learning of passive vocabulary will make possible for them to know arelatively large numberof words within a short period of time
         To conclude ,although this is a small-scale study and the students under study were rather weak in proficiency,it has revealed that the gap between active and passive vocabulary is more complicated than it appears to be and more questions seem to have arisen than they are answered.
